Requirements : NQF 4 or 5 Qualified with Trade Test certification at N3 Level3 Phase Wireman’s LicenseBasic knowledge and skills with hand and power toolsSAP Experience would be an advantageThree years post qualification experience in an electrical environment.Hospital experience would be advantageousDriver’s license is essentialOwn transport is essentialWorking StandbyThe main purpose of this position : The Electrical Artisan will be responsible for the Electrical Reticulation of the facility. The role is responsible for checking all electrical plant and equipment which includes the transformers, HV / LV rooms, generators and UPS units. The role would also require the candidate to execute inspections, installations and testing of distribution boards of low and medium voltage ratings and demonstrate competency in using electrical and electronic measuring and testing devices such as multimeters, AMP meters, Megger, Phase rotation meters, earth leakage testers, plug testers, etc. The role will also include performance of various onsite electrical repairs. Duties & Responsibilities : Perform electrical repairs and installationsEnsure compliance regarding all electrical and mechanical plant & equipmentPerform routine checks on electrical distributions boards and back-up power systems i.e. standby generators and UPS units.Good understanding of Back-up power (Generators and UPS’s)Perform routine checks on plant & equipment and ensure proper maintenanceEnsure line diagram of electrical reticulation is up-dated and made available in main LT and HV roomsPerform general building maintenance tasks throughout the facilitiesPractice good housekeeping Should you meet the above requirements, we urge you to apply by forwarding your CV along with any supporting documents to
