Job descriptionQualified Trade Certificate as a Millwright Minimum of 5 years of plant maintenance experience Minimum of 5 years of Turning and Machining experience Forklift driver's license advantageous Experience in a manufacturing environment advantageous Experience in a food manufacturing environment advantageous Experience with Tool and Parts Management Computer literacy Experience in ARC, TIG and MIG welding advantageous Own transport Understanding and knowledge of mechanical seals, pump maintenance, pneumatic systems, steam components, and auger and conveyor systems Communication skills Practically minded & logical thinking skills Excellent work ethics and integrity Excellent time management Initiative and drive Problem solving skills Team player
Responsibilities :
- Maintain plant equipment
- Perform plant maintenance during the shutdown period
- Understand and interpret new drawings and manuals
- Install new machines and equipment as and when instructed
- Responding to emergency machine breakdowns throughout the plant
- Do regular inspections of plant equipment
- Give feedback to Maintenance Supervisors on breakdown root cause analyses
- Attend to all relevant breakdowns during standby period
- Complete DMS Work orders and Work order book to keep a record of work completed
- Apply for parts by making use of the requisition procedure
- Operate the Lathe and Milling machine to manufacture parts and spares
- Machine calibrations and setups
- Automation improvements and installation of electrical equipment
- Maintenance and improvements on electrical control systems
