Overview

Job title : Structural Engineer

Location : Pretoria East, Gauteng

Salary : R30 000- R40 000

Vacancy type : Full time

Duties

Design & Analysis : Develop structural designs for buildings, bridges, foundations, and other infrastructure.
Calculations & Modeling : Perform structural analysis, load calculations, and simulations to ensure stability and safety.
Drawings & Documentation : Prepare and review detailed design drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
Site Inspections : Conduct on-site supervision and inspections to ensure construction aligns with designs and standards.
Project Support : Assist with feasibility studies, cost estimates, and project planning.
Compliance : Ensure all designs meet building codes, safety regulations, and engineering standards.
Coordination : Work closely with civil engineers, architects, contractors, and other professionals.
Problem-Solving : Provide solutions for design changes, site challenges, and unexpected structural issues.
Reporting : Compile progress, compliance, and quality reports for project managers and clients.

Requirements

2–4 years experience as a Civil Engineer

BEng in Structural Engineering

Project experience in structural design

Experience working in the private sector - beneficial
