Job descriptionDevelop and implement the Maintenance Strategy Lead and manage the Maintenance Team Analyze and interpret Planned Maintenance Reports (e.g., hours per department, per artisan) Analyze and interpret Breakdown Reports (e.g., manufacturing downtime, top-10 issues) Manage the implementation of engineering projects Support project activities to ensure objectives are met Contribute to managing project risks within the field of expertise Identify, suggest, and implement corrective actions to improve project quality Evaluate and enhance the performance of the project team Durban, KwaZulu-Natal
Maintenance Manager required for a reputable automotive manufacturing company based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
Requirements :
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in managing a maintenance department
- Proven track record of discipline and fault finding
- Ability to diagnose plant and equipment problems and identify opportunities for modification, upgrade, or replacement
- Approve store requisitions for spares and consumables
- Strong project management skills
