Data Engineer Johannesburg

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join a leading insurance project. This is a 12-month contract role with a strong chance of extension. You'll work in a remote-first environment , with client offices available in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Databricks .

Manage secure and efficient data integration with Oracle databases .

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and accessibility .

Support analytics and machine learning initiatives within the insurance sector.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data infrastructure.

3–5 years' experience as a Data Engineer.

Strong expertise with Azure Databricks .

Proven experience working with Oracle database environments .

Solid skills in SQL and data modeling .

Insurance or financial services experience is an advantage.

R650 per hour
