Internal Management Accountant

We are in search of a full-time Internal Management Accountant who is qualified and experienced to lead the Finance Department and its team members within a dynamic and fast-growing UK-based accountancy practice.

Basic training and guidance will be provided to ensure alignment with the firm's accounting practices and culture.

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

The Internal Management Accountant aims to assist the Head of Finance to provide timely, accurate information to the members of our management team. The role will consist of :

Management Accounts Responsibility

• Assisting in overseeing financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems.
• Ensuring accurate revenue recognition in compliance with company and accounting standards.
• Conducting monthly reconciliation of designated balance sheet accounts.
• Reviewing and managing accounts receivable effectively.
• Controlling payables to mitigate company risk and reduce overheads.
• Producing precise financial reports within specified deadlines.
• Identifying, investigating, and influencing problem areas to improve the results of the practice by analysing financial results and trends.
• Monitoring and forecasting cash flows and predicting future trends.
• Maintaining and supporting key internal controls effectively.
• Keeping track of the approval process and monitoring actual expenditure vs. approved expenditure.
• Being responsible for the fixed asset register.
• Considering new processes to allow more accurate information to be given to our management team in a more time-efficient way.

Package & Remuneration

R40,000 – 45,000 per month depending on qualification and required experience.

Monday – Friday – 37.5 hours per week.

The role is based in Glen Ashley, Durban North.
