What you will be doing :
- Ensure all legal entities comply with legal, statutory, and governance requirements.
- Contribute to the optimization and continuous improvement of the department.
- Manage minute-taking and administration of operational and management committees.
- Assist the Company Secretary with corporate legal matters and governance requirements, including communication, training, and reporting.
- Collate information for various forums and committee packs, including operational and management meetings.
- Draft agendas in consultation with Chairpersons and liaise with committee members.
- Attend meetings and take accurate, professional minutes.
- Draft minutes for vetting by the Chairperson.
- Assist with drafting and execution of company resolutions.
- Maintain statutory and secretarial records (manual and electronic) and ensure compliance with CIPC.
- Ensure all companies comply with the Companies Act, governance principles, and other relevant legislation.
What we are looking for :
A completed Legal Degree (non-negotiable).
2+ years experience in company secretarial administration.
Insurance industry experience (non-negotiable not banking).
CGISA qualification advantageous.
Sound knowledge and understanding of insurance, financial services, and corporate governance.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Computer literate and detail oriented.
