DUR SENIOR FINANCIAL MANAGER – GREATER MIDLANDS, KZN

Reference : DUR -CW-2

Purpose of the job :

To oversee and manage all financial operations, including accounting, payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree / diploma in finance, accounting, or a related field.

Duties & Responsibilities

Technical Competencies and Responsibilities :

  • 5+ years of experience as a Financial Manager.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software (Sage EVO) and Excel.
  • Profound knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced computer skills encompassing MS Office and accounting software.
  • Compiling and submitting monthly statutory SARS reports and payments, including VAT201 and EMP201 reconciliations, and EMP501 (Bi-annual – Easy-File).
  • Managing month-end and end-year processes.
  • Conducting spot checks on accounts payable / receivable.
  • Orchestrating accounting transactions and general ledger management.
  • Coordinating the company's inventory system and ensuring accurate financial reporting through finalizing month-end stock takes and rectifying variances.
  • Managing payroll, utilities, and data capturing on Pastel Payroll.
  • Producing monthly management accounts and financial variance reports.
  • Implementing accounting methods, policies, and principles to meet financial objectives.
