Our plugins are used by over 6 million websites worldwide.

We are looking for skilled and competent PHP WordPress Developers to further develop our suite of plugins and systems.

The day-to-day role :

Collaborate with others on our codebase to implement new features, bug fixes, and improvements

Work in JavaScript, PHP, and WordPress libraries to write clean, efficient, and secure code

Write inline documentation for your code

Test and produce testing guides for your code

Manage your own time to fulfill your tasks

Research / debug problems on your own or in collaboration with other developers and our support team

Your exact responsibilities will depend on your experience, how this fits with other members of the team, and are subject to discussion and agreement.

Requirements

You'll definitely need experience with :

JavaScript & JQuery - an essential part of UpdraftCentral

PHP - the core language of WordPress, and strong skills in this area are essential

WordPress plugin development or solutions built around WordPress

It would be nice if you also have experience with :

GitHub / GitLab / Git - nice to have, but can be learned quickly by good developers used to alternatives like SVN

Prefetching data and optimizing plugin performance
