Responsibilities

What we’re looking for :

Execute and support packaging projects for the SA Foods and frontier markets

Execute packaging projects under innovation, Productivity & Sustainability agenda and build future pipeline along with manager

Prepare SOPs and Design of Experiments for quality execution of projects in guidance with the Pkg manager as per PepsiCo requirements

Support supply chain and other business functions with packaging TBS

Ensure compliance to TSG, SFTS processes , Documentation

Influence stakeholders – GP, Operations, QC for achieving results

Create and maintain packaging specifications that are compliant with PepsiCo R&D best practices.

Qualifications

What will qualify you for the role :

Food Technology / Science, Consumer Science, B.Sc., B.Eng.or M.Sc. degree in material, chemical or packaging related field with minimum 2-3 years in a Technical or R&D role within a manufacturing environment preferred.

IPSA packaging diploma advantageous

Effective interpersonal, Influencing and communication skills with a proactive and innovative approach to problem solving and new design implementation.

Demonstrated technical, analytical and project management skills, with the ability to plan and prioritize workloads.

A good understanding of R&D and product development disciplines, as well as regulatory requirements is desirable.

Fluent in English and computer skills e.g. MS Word, MS. Excel.
