Job Overview

An accounting firm is seeking a Junior Accountant / Junior Bookkeeper for a permanent role based in East London, Eastern Cape.

Eastern Cape, East London.

Responsibilities

We expect the applicant to be a fast learner who can work independently, has a driven and positive personality, and is teachable and trainable so that with time he / she will be able to learn the other programmes used in house.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates with qualifications in accounting or finance will only be considered.
• Pastel and SAGE processing experience, both manual processing and importing.
• Comfortable and confident with debtors / creditors, both manual processing and importing.
• Comfortable and confident with bank recons and pulling reports, both manual processing and importing.
• Efiling knowledge and experience.
• Previous accounting firm experience (or experience in financial statement preparation) would be a definite advantage.
• Experience in SARS submissions and VAT returns would be an advantage.

Salary
