Job description

Position : Inbound Travel Consultant

Location : Rosenpark Offices, Tyger Valley, Cape Town

Job Type : Permanent

Minimum Qualification Criteria

  • Minimum 5 years experience in inbound travel to Southern Africa
  • Comprehensive logistical destination knowledge across Southern Africa
  • Broad product knowledge across multiple borders
  • Established supplier relationships and industry network
  • High attention to detail, urgency, and accuracy
  • Naturally curious and solution-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency in Tourplan / NX

Skills :

  • Strong sense of urgency and accuracy
  • Natural inquisitive nature
  • Tourplan / NX Experience
  • WETU

    • Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Have good product knowledge and excellent geographical knowledge of Southern Africa.
  • Good communication internal and external with agents.
  • Multitasking, being able to handle pressure and volume.
  • Skilled in designing detailed quotes for itinerary requests and revised quotes.
  • Preparing WETU Proposals when necessary.
  • High conversion rates and reaching targets is essential.
  • Quick turn-around times.
  • Request rates, and negotiate on rates, where and when possible or required.
  • Ensure rates are sent to the contract / systems team to load onto NX.
  • Use preferred suppliers as per company policy.
  • Be available to attend site inspections / fam trips, and educational or networking events.
  • Operate all segments of tours within the set budget.
  • Excellent time management and very good prioritizing ability.
  • Important to plan carefully to meet deadlines.
  • Create and manage provisional bookings for all suppliers.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of the tours being run such as transport, accommodation, restaurants, etc.
  • Consultant must make sure agent's information and tour information correspond.
