Minimum Requirements :
- Suitable Degree in Chemistry of Food Science
- Solid experience as a GCMS operator and QC
- Knowledge and experience of fragrances sourcing molecules
- Must have at least 3 years experience in matching of fragrances
- ISO 9001 : 2015 experience
Duties and Responsibilities :
Preparation, analysis, interpretation and quantification of fragrances using GC-MSMaintaining an up to date knowledge of new fragrance ingredients and components within the market - keeping a detailed libraryDeveloping analytical method development as necessary, identifying opportunities to improve runtime and qualityPreparation of samples may require solvent extraction techniques such as SPME arrowInterpretation of quantification of fragrances using relevant software on PCTo provide and analysis report for the fragrances of being made in the laboratoryResponsibility for instrumentation, general and advance maintenance and performance and trend monitoring of the instructions carriedoutPreparation of samples for analysis on GC-MSAnalysing samples and be able to perform maintenance and troubleshootingKeep up to date on new fragrance ingredients / components within the market and to add these to library accordinglyTo continuously undertake method development to help improve runtime and quality of analysis from the instrumentationAbility to recognise problems and take corrective actionUsing GC-MS to identify different substances in a test samplePLEASE NOTE : Thank you for your interest in this position, we will review and be in touch if you are suitable.
