Fitter & Turner / Machinist

Well established engineering firm based just outside of Bedford is seeking a qualified or highly experienced Fitter & Turner / Machinist.

Responsibilities :

• Operate and maintain various types of mechanical equipment, such as lathes, mills and grinders.
• Fabricate, assemble and install mechanical components based on detailed drawings and specifications
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance to ensure machinery runs at optimal efficiency
• Interpret technical drawings and engineering blueprints with precision
• Work closely with the engineering team to identify areas for improvement and resolve issues.
