The opportunity

As the Associate Director of Employee Relations at EY, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing workplace dynamics. Your responsibilities include championing employee representation, leading disciplinary, incapacity, and grievance procedures, and providing comprehensive support for various employment relations initiatives. Your strategic leadership will promote a culture of respect and inclusivity while managing complex employment challenges. You will contribute to developing policies and practices aligned with EY's values and mission, making strategic contributions that impact organizational success, including transformative initiatives and talent management processes.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Ensure HR policies comply with labor legislation to cultivate a constructive workplace.
• Advise employees and management on labor law compliance and internal policies.
• Implement measures to reduce labor disputes.
• Manage disciplinary, incapacity, and grievance cases systematically.
• Lead acquisitions and restructuring projects.
• Represent EY in CCMA cases, including conciliation and arbitration.
• Oversee internal dispute resolution and labor court cases.
• Develop and implement Employee Relations plans aligned with HR strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws.
• Draft employment agreements, contracts, addendums, and memorandums.
• Conduct training to improve staff understanding of labor relations.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of Employee Relations policies.
• Maintain a strong governance structure within the Employee Relations Directorate.
• Lead the employee relations function within Talent.
