Job Purpose
Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to render a secretarial support service to a senior manager(s).Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification) plus an accredited secretarial diploma and / or administrative qualification on the level of NQF level 5 or relevant higher tertiary qualificationA minimum of 3 years experience in rendering a support service to management / senior management; A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence.NB : People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.Recommendation
None.Key Performance Areas
Provide a secretarial / receptionist support service to the manager; Render administrative support services and perform the duties of the Admin Support officer in their absence; Provide support to manager regarding meetings; Support the manager with administration of the manager’s budget; Studies that relevant Public Service and departmental prescripts / policies and other documents and ensure that the application thereof is understood properly.Competencies
Knowledge of the following : Relevant legislation / policies / prescripts and procedures; Basic knowledge on financial administration; Procurement processes.Skills in the following : Advanced computer literacy; Communication skills (written and verbal); Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Remuneration
