Rewardsco is looking for an Intermediate DBA to join our dynamic team and ensure our database infrastructure is rock-solid, secure, and always performing at its best.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Take ownership of database installation, configuration, and maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SQL-related issues
  • Manage data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation
  • Partner with senior engineers and cross-functional teams
  • Implement and enhance database security measures
  • Plan capacity, monitor performance, and optimize systems
  • Stay ahead of industry trends to drive innovation

Requirements

  • Matric and an IT Diploma or NQF Level 7 qualification
  • Relevant SQL / DBA certifications (advantageous)
  • Minimum of 3 years and more experience in database administration
  • Proficiency in SQL and PostgreSQL
  • Strong experience in Data Modelling, Data Warehousing, and ETL processes
  • Working knowledge of Python, Apache Airflow, Kafka, and PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with both Linux and Windows operating systems
