About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all forex transactions comply with SARB Exchange Control regulations and for serving as the internal and external reference point on all Exchange Control matters.
This role combines regulatory interpretation, client engagement, and process management , offering an opportunity to make a direct impact on operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret SARB rulings, circulars, and regulatory updates
- Provide expert guidance to clients and internal teams on Exchange Control requirements
- Prepare and manage SARB applications via authorised banking partners
- Conduct internal training sessions on Exchange Control processes
- Maintain detailed logs, workflows, and SOPs to ensure process continuity
- Liaise with bank Exchange Control desks and other stakeholders
- Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen compliance and efficiency

Minimum 35 years experience in Exchange Control, Treasury, or Compliance within financial services or bankingRelevant tertiary qualification (Finance / Economics / Compliance / Law preferred)Exposure to client-facing advisory work and SARB liaison advantageous
