Introduction
The successful candidate will join JSE Investor Services (JIS) on a 6-month contract to collaborate closely with software engineering teams and stakeholders. The role involves gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements to ensure software solutions align with business objectives and stakeholder needs. This position operates at a junior to mid-level, requiring strong analytical skills, communication abilities, and a deep understanding of business processes and software development.
Responsibilities include :
- Data analysis and reporting
- Understanding, documenting, validating, and translating business requirements into functional specifications, change requests, or other necessary documents for the development team
- Documenting business processes
- Attending to incidents and requests via bug / change tracking systems, following up to ensure completion
- Engaging with users to understand required modifications to existing or new applications and providing post-implementation support
- Proposing solutions and innovative ideas to leverage technology effectively
- Participating in testing phases (SIT, UAT), including creating test cases
- Creating release notes, training materials, and conducting training sessions
- Assisting Operations Managers and Executives with various requests
- Supporting management with ad hoc requests as neededQualifications :
- Diploma
- Certificate in IT, Business Analysis, or Administration
- 1-3 years of experience in financial services
Knowledge and Skills required :
Proven experience as a business analyst in software development projects, preferably within financial services, with a good understanding of relevant technologiesStrong analytical skills to understand complex business processes, identify requirements, and propose effective solutionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels and conveying technical concepts clearlyProficiency in requirement elicitation techniques (workshops, interviews, surveys) and familiarity with requirements management tools within the Microsoft ecosystemKnowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban and experience working in Agile environments#J-18808-Ljbffr
