Nurse Educator

Overview

A vacancy exists for a Nurse Educator , based at Pretoria Learning Centre , reporting to the Regional Education Manager . The successful candidate will be responsible for producing competent and qualified nurses to meet the needs of LHC and external healthcare providers by facilitating nursing education programs.

Responsibilities

• Support the effective recruitment and selection of students.
• Effective registration of learners with regulatory bodies from registration to certification.
• Effective facilitation of nursing programs including planning, coordination with key stakeholders and implementation to meet curriculum requirements and regulatory and quality assurance standards.
• Effective assessment (theory and practical) of students to meet the curriculum requirements.
• Effective module coordination.
• Ensure the professional socialization of students from induction to completion.
• Participation in the research activities undertaken by the higher education institution.
• Ensure effective relationship building with internal and external stakeholders for the purposes of effective facilitation of nursing programs.
• Participation in programme reviews, curricula development and policy development that are undertaken by the higher education institution to meet regulatory quality assurance standards.
• Effective programme and student record keeping of the implementation of the academic programme responsible according to regulatory and quality assurance standards.
