Fleet Controller (Abnormal Transport)

Location : Paarl, Cape Town

Duties and Responsibilities

• Communication : Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with drivers, clients, and internal teams.
• Coordination : Plan and manage daily activities of drivers and vehicles to ensure efficient operations.
• Monitoring : Oversee driver performance and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Vehicle Inspections : Review daily pre-check vehicle inspections and report defects to the workshop team.
• Tracking : Monitor vehicle locations, schedules, and troubleshoot delays or issues during transportation.
• Maintenance : Liaise with the maintenance team and third-party service providers for fleet upkeep and ensure compliance with statutory requirements (Hazchem, licenses, permits, etc.).
• Fuel Management : Oversee fuel consumption and maintain accurate records.
• Safety Protocols : Implement and uphold safety regulations in line with industry standards.
• Guidance : Provide direction to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Administration : Perform administrative duties, maintain accurate records, and ensure proper document control.
• Deadline Focused : Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines.
