SUMMARY

BDM will drive sales growth across South Africa & Africa by promoting IT networking & cybersecurity.

POSITION INFO

Business Development Manager – POS25253

Location : Midstream

Salary : R40,000 CTC per month

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth across South Africa and the broader African region. The role focuses on expanding market share through the sale of IT networking solutions, cybersecurity products, and related services. The ideal candidate will bring an existing client network and a proven ability to open new markets in the middle African region.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Business Development Manager.
  • Proven track record of selling IT networking products, cybersecurity products, and / or cybersecurity services.
  • Established business relationships and experience selling into South Africa and the African region (particularly middle Africa).
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage a strong sales pipeline.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and strategically in a results-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Africa within the IT and cybersecurity sectors.
  • Develop and execute growth strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Maintain and grow existing client accounts while driving new customer acquisition.
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline focused on sustainable long-term growth.
  • Collaborate with internal technical and product teams to deliver tailored solutions to clients.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics for management review.

  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented professional with a strong commercial mindset.
  • Deep understanding of technology sales and the African business environment.
  • Strong network of industry contacts in the middle African region.
