Job descriptionEducation : Bachelors Degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or related field. Experience : 68 years experience in commercial or corporate underwriting (insurance industry essential). Proven experience handling complex risks and large portfolios. Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in underwriting software and advanced Excel capability. A passion for problem-solving, strategic thinking, and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities :
- Drive underwriting excellence by evaluating, pricing, and managing complex commercial risks.
- Develop and implement portfolio management and risk selection strategies.
- Build and maintain strong broker and client relationships to grow profitable business.
- Mentor and support junior underwriters, fostering growth and technical development.
- Ensure adherence to governance, compliance, and company underwriting frameworks.
