Job DescriptionThe Jewellery DC is seeking a dynamic and driven Controller to join our high-performance logistics team.
Responsibilities
- Managing the output of Supervisors and Clerks across multiple teams
- Monitor and guide output and workforce planning, and scheduling
- Driving teams to meet and exceed daily and weekly performance targets
- Planning and managing the flow of information and merchandise across and through teams within available processing space
- Liaising with line managers and business units on allocations and priorities
- Managing performance, training, and development
- Ensuring compliance with Group Logistics Best Operating Practice (BOP) standards
- Identifying and proposing solutions for operational inefficiencies
- Summarizing daily activities into weekly reporting and incorporating key performance areas
Qualifications and Experience
Matric (Grade 12) essentialHaving a post-matric qualification in Supply Chain Management / Logistics & Warehouse Management / Retail Business Management would be advantageous.3 – 5 years of leadership experience in supply chain, warehousing, or distribution environmentProven experience managing teams and driving performance through othersStrong understanding of DC operations and logistics best practicesAnalytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skillsHands‑on leadership style with a focus on continuous improvement and developmentProficiency in MS Office applications, i.e., MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPointWorking knowledge and experience with Warehouse Management Systems (eg, WMOS)Behaviours
