Job DescriptionThe Jewellery DC is seeking a dynamic and driven Controller to join our high-performance logistics team.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the output of Supervisors and Clerks across multiple teams
  • Monitor and guide output and workforce planning, and scheduling
  • Driving teams to meet and exceed daily and weekly performance targets
  • Planning and managing the flow of information and merchandise across and through teams within available processing space
  • Liaising with line managers and business units on allocations and priorities
  • Managing performance, training, and development
  • Ensuring compliance with Group Logistics Best Operating Practice (BOP) standards
  • Identifying and proposing solutions for operational inefficiencies
  • Summarizing daily activities into weekly reporting and incorporating key performance areas

Qualifications and Experience

  • Matric (Grade 12) essential
  • Having a post-matric qualification in Supply Chain Management / Logistics & Warehouse Management / Retail Business Management would be advantageous.
  • 3 – 5 years of leadership experience in supply chain, warehousing, or distribution environment
  • Proven experience managing teams and driving performance through others
  • Strong understanding of DC operations and logistics best practices
  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skills
  • Hands‑on leadership style with a focus on continuous improvement and development
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, i.e., MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge and experience with Warehouse Management Systems (eg, WMOS)
