Overview

POSITION / TITLE : Key Account Manager – NSA

GRADE : EVP- 6

DIVISION : Sales Operations and Fleet

DEPARTMENT : Sales and Marketing

Purpose / Details of the Job

  • Planning and managing a mutually beneficial partnership between Nissan and its most important customers.
  • Key Account Managers (KAM’s) will be responsible to grow, maintain & develop new Corporate & Direct Fleet business within South Africa and its neighboring countries.

Educational Qualifications

Diploma / Degree in Sales & Marketing or related field

Relevant Experience

  • 5+ years’ Key Account sales experience
  • Understanding of retail motor industry
  • Planning & Business strategies
  • Client & market need analysis
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Retail / Fleet / Corporate Sales experience
  • Key Performance Areas

  • Create and build professional relationships with customers
  • Developing trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to competition
  • Acquiring a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
  • Expanding relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
  • Maintain contact with customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust
  • Sector data analysis to develop and implement strategies on how to expand the customer base
  • Preparation of proposals and presentations
  • Monthly forecasting
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (internal & external) to ensure successful project implementation, e.g. Navara Mine spec conversion development & AGRI SA Navara ambassador program
  • Interact with all levels of management within NSA and with Suppliers
  • Validating fleet orders and request placement therefore to SOS
  • Tracking orders vs production
  • Arranging and coordinating events (Vehicle Launches / Ride & Drives / Plant Tours / Golf Days / Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner events)
  • Compilation and submission of tenders according to tender requirements
  • Weekly sales activity reports (Salesforce)
  • Database management (Salesforce)
  • Provide support to the Dealer Network on price requests and customer visits
