Millwright - Ottery role at Kelly, Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. Base pay range : ZAR350,000.00 / yr.

Responsibilities

• Technical
• Fault analysis and problem solving
• Identify, immediately report and rectify all technical areas of concern on assigned equipment
• Responsible for the workshop
• Rectify any defective equipment or tooling as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
• Assist Maintenance Manager in identifying when to involve suppliers (e.g. toolroom or external suppliers)
• Maintenance
• Develop maintenance plans and check lists on assigned equipment together with Maintenance Manager / team
• Ensure maintenance on assigned equipment is done at required intervals according to the plans
• Identify spares needed for assigned equipment
• Construction
• Building of racks, stands, dividers, etc. using wood, steel, concrete and other building materials
• Factory installations
• Management
• Have an overview of what needs to be done and report to Maintenance Manager
• Ensure sound relationships and communication with internal work-related staff
• Administration
• Log jobs performed
• Contact external suppliers as agreed with Maintenance Manager to assist in solving problems
• Report tools needed to Maintenance Manager
• Health & Safety
• Ensure and enforce that aspects in area of responsibility conform to Health and safety requirements
• Maintain housekeeping standards in area of responsibility (e.g. cleanliness of technical areas, stores, workshops and machines)
• Work safely and report on safety hazards or issues
• Food (Product) Safety
• Food safety standards are site specific and at these sites employees should apply the site\'s food safety principles and standards
