Job description

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full inventory management cycle, including forecasting, tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline inventory workflows and enhance system integration.
  • Supervise inventory team performance, coach staff, and contribute to recruitment and training.
  • Conduct thorough inventory analysis to flag slow-moving, excess, or obsolete stock and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage cycle counts, stock audits, and ensure compliance with inventory control procedures.
  • Perform complex reconciliations and root cause analysis to resolve variances and discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with procurement, finance, and operational teams to ensure effective inventory planning and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records and respond to internal / external audit queries related to inventory activities.

Required Skills & Experiences

  • A relevant qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 35 years experience in an inventory control or warehouse operations role (manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of inventory systems, stock reconciliation, and FIFO practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
