Job Description
An Assistant / Trainee Laboratory Manager is responsible for assisting with accreditation and ensuring adherence to Health and Safety regulations in and around the laboratory.
- An Assistant Laboratory Manager verifies that correct test methods are followed and reports any deviations to the relevant reporting manager.
- They must adhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system.
- Assist technicians with tasks on site or inside the laboratory as instructed by the authorized site supervisor / laboratory manager.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by the authorized site supervisor / laboratory manager and regional manager.
- Ensure all functions continue as per procedure in the absence of the Laboratory Manager.
- Support the Laboratory Manager in payroll, leave forms, and other administrative duties.
- Provide training to reporting staff as needed.
Qualifications
Relevant National Diploma or NQF 6 / Grade 12 or NQF4 equivalent, or skills and experience recognized through Recognition of Prior Learning.
Driver's LicenseRelevant National Diploma with ten years of relevant experience, or NQF 6 with ten years of relevant experience, ORGrade 12 with three years of relevant experience, or NQF 4 with fifteen years of relevant experience.Familiarity with all Civil Engineering Test Methods under THM1 and SANS.#J-18808-Ljbffr
