Responsibilities
- T24 System Administration : Install, configure, and maintain the Temenos T24 core banking system, ensuring its performance, stability, and security.
- System Monitoring : Regularly monitor the T24 system environment, including hardware, software, and network components, to ensure optimal system performance and early detection of issues.
- Patch Management & Upgrades : Manage and apply system patches, updates, and upgrades to the T24 platform to ensure the system is running on the latest version and is compliant with regulatory and security standards.
- Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution : Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, such as performance bottlenecks, transaction errors, and other system failures, in collaboration with developers and other IT teams.
- Backup & Recovery : Implement and manage backup procedures for the T24 system, ensuring regular backups are taken, tested, and stored securely. Ensure disaster recovery plans are in place and tested periodically.
- Security & Compliance : Apply industry-standard security practices (e.g., encryption, user access controls) to protect sensitive banking data. Ensure the system complies with banking regulations and internal security policies (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR).
- User Management : Manage user access to the T24 platform, including setting up new users, configuring roles and permissions, and ensuring proper access control to sensitive financial data.
- Performance Optimization : Continuously assess the performance of the T24 environment, including system resources (CPU, memory, storage), and take proactive measures to optimize performance and scalability.
- Documentation & Reporting : Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Provide regular reports to management on system performance, incidents, and improvements.
- Collaboration & Support : Work closely with other IT teams, such as developers, business analysts, and security specialists, to ensure smooth operation of the T24 environment. Provide technical support to end users and other departments.
- Incident & Problem Management : Ensure all incidents are logged, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner. Identify recurring problems and suggest long-term solutions to improve system reliability.
Academic Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Certifications such as Temenos T24 Administrator, ITIL, or other relevant certifications are a plus.Work Experience
3-5 years of experience as a T24 Administrator or in a similar role managing the Temenos T24 core banking system.Strong knowledge of T24 architecture, configurations, and administration tasks.Experience in system administration for large-scale banking or financial services platforms.Familiarity with database administration (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and database management related to T24.Skills / Specialized Know How
Expertise in managing the T24 core banking platform and related banking modules.Strong understanding of server environments (Linux / Unix, Windows), database systems, and networking protocols.Experience in managing system backups, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.Knowledge of APIs, integrations, and third-party systems commonly used with T24 (e.g., payment gateways, mobile banking, ATMs).Experience with monitoring tools, performance tuning, and security practices.Seniority level
