Job Description

  • A leading organisation in the Food & Beverage Manufacturing industry is seeking to appoint a Financial Accountant. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a fast-paced production environment where accuracy, compliance, and financial insight are key to supporting business growth.
  • Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in line with IFRS for SMEs / GAAP.
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements / management accounts.
  • Manage general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Monitor accounts payable, receivable, and fixed assets.
  • Ensure compliance with tax, VAT, and other statutory requirements.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
  • Identify process improvements and ensure financial controls are followed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights for decision-making.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • SAIPA / SAICA articles completed or in progress preferred.
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS for SMEs, tax, and compliance regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Pastel, Oracle, QuickBooks).
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
