Duties & Responsibilities

ENVIRONMENT :

Our client a fast-growing digital banking platform redefining traditional banking through innovative technology-driven solutions is seeking a sharp curious and coachable graduate or early-career quantitative analyst to join their team as a Treasury Assistant and Junior Quantitative Analyst. This role is ideal for someone with strong mathematical skills who enjoys working with data solving complex problems and contributing to the development of innovative financial solutions.   • Behavioural Modelling : Predict how customers will behave on their accounts post-merger to influence liquidity decisions
  • Funding Curve Analysis : Help shift the bank from liability-only focus to lending / asset-informed decision-making
  • Customer Profitability & Cross-Subsidisation Models
  • Bond Trading Prep & Structuring : Help build high-quality liquid portfolios as the bank enters the trading space
  • Cash Flow Forecasting (612 months)
  • Pricing & Competitive Analysis : Assist in positioning the Bank in the market through accurate pricing models
  • Treasury Ops & Payments : Be trained to handle daily Treasury functions and payments.
  • Build quantitative and financial depth in one of SA’s most forward-thinking banks.
  • Work 1-on-1 with the Head of Treasury and be mentored into a critical role.
  • Help shape the future of the Banks Treasury team from modelling to trading.

Requirements

  • Degree : BSc with Mathematics major (Honours preferred especially if straight from university)
  • OR BCom with strong quantitative / IT / programming modules
  • Fresh grads welcome or up to 1 year experience in data-heavy / finance roles
  • Attributes
