Job descriptionProvides technical support in mechanical maintenance of Sandvik equipment to achieve a high level of equipment reliability, availability, cost efficiency and performance. Follow instructions of work within time constraints to meet established delivery targets. Adjust equipment and repairs / replaces defective parts components or systems per instructions. Inspect equipment for proper performance and determines faults and malfunctions. Identify additional repairs, compiles parts and labour estimates. Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operational performance. Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives Stays current with industry, customer and product developments and technical best practices. Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification Trade Certificate of Competence - Diesel Mechanic, Auto Electrical, Millwright accompanied by proof of apprenticeship modules or apprenticeship contract 4 years’ experience with mechanised mining equipment Experience on maintaining earth moving equipment Knowledge of Sandvik underground product line Understanding of engineering drawings Sandvik product manuals and schematics Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Excellent report writing skills Attention to detail English literacy Computer literacy Valid driver license Engineering / Technical jobs
