What does an Editor do at Hogarth?

We are seeking a meticulous, creative, and highly skilled Editor to join our team. The Editor will be responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, clarity, and consistency of all written / video / audio content produced by our organization. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong command of language and grammar, and the ability to shape content to resonate with our target audience while adhering to brand guidelines and editorial standards. The ideal candidate will be passionate about storytelling and dedicated to delivering polished, impactful content across various platforms.

Reporting lines and key stakeholders :

This role reports to the Content Producer. You will work closely with the wider team in studio.

Requirements

• Edit and proofread a wide range of content, including but not limited to : blog posts, articles, website copy, marketing materials, social media posts, whitepapers, case studies, video scripts, podcast transcripts, internal communications
• Check for grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, punctuation errors, factual inaccuracies, and stylistic inconsistencies
• Improve clarity, conciseness, flow, and overall readability of content
• Ensure content adheres to established style guides (e.g., AP, Chicago, in-house style) and brand voice
• Verify proper citation and attribution where necessary
• Collaborate with content creators, writers, designers, and subject matter experts to brainstorm ideas and develop compelling content concepts
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to the content team to help them improve their craft and align with editorial vision
• Assist in developing and maintaining editorial calendars and content pipelines
