About the Role
We’re seeking a skilled SharePoint Administrator to join our new Small Projects Team. You’ll take on varied short-term engagements (typically 1-5 days), managing SharePoint Online configuration, site setup, permissions management, and reporting for our diverse client base. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, variety in projects, and the flexibility of remote working.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and manage SharePoint Online environments, including site collections, hub sites, and communication sites
- Administer user access, permissions, and security settings across SharePoint platforms
- Create and manage SharePoint governance policies and implement best practices
- Generate reports on site usage, storage, permissions audits, and compliance
- Set up and configure libraries, lists, and basic workflows
- Manage permissions and access controls using Entra ID integration
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users
- Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related issues
- Support M365 integration, including Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange
- Document configurations and maintain technical specifications
Essential Skills & Experience
2-3 years’ experience administering SharePoint OnlineStrong understanding of SharePoint architecture, governance, and best practicesProficiency with permissions, security, and access managementExperience with M365 suite (Teams, OneDrive, Exchange)Ability to manage multiple priorities on concurrent short-term projectsExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of Entra ID and user managementComfortable with command-line tools and technical troubleshootingSelf-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environmentUnderstanding of data loss prevention (DLP) policies and implementationMetadata management and content classificationAbility to provide user training and support materialsDesirable Skills
PowerShell scripting for SharePoint administration and bulk operationsMicrosoft Purview knowledge, including sensitivity labels and data labellingExperience with retention policies and compliance configurationsKnowledge of site migration and data managementFamiliarity with GDPR and compliance requirements in M365Experience with SharePoint DesignerBasic understanding of REST APIs and webhooksPower Automate and Power Apps experienceTraining delivery and documentation skillsWhat We’re Looking For
