This position is based in Cape Town. Addesu’s main office is in London, with teams in Ukraine and Cape Town.

Reports to

The Senior Paid Media Account Manager reports to an Account Director.

Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a product‑led mindset and a background in paid media. The successful applicant will take full ownership of a number of paid media accounts across various verticals and platforms. You will lead client contact, reporting, strategy, roadmapping and account execution, with support from the Account Director and senior team members. You will also carry out campaign execution and optimisation, with junior team support. You will manage and mentor direct reports and play an active role within wider company initiatives. In parallel with the account role, you will work directly with our tech team to develop the Addesu platform, identifying pitfalls and communicating effective solutions to advance underlying technology that powers the business.

Your role would include

Performance & Strategy

  • Oversee and guide client performance across a portfolio of campaigns, ensuring delivery against company and client targets.
  • Develop tailored optimisation strategies, media plans, and audits—going beyond standard templates to include unique insights.
  • Continually assess client results, proactively identifying opportunities, risks, and strategic improvements.
  • Lead case study production for the team, ensuring accuracy and alignment with Addesu’s brand strategy.
  • Mentor and coach Account Managers and junior team members, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Proactively identify team members’ strengths and weaknesses, assigning opportunities to maximise performance.
  • Ensure the team consistently meets or exceeds targets, addressing underperformance constructively and effectively.
  • Promote reflection and learning across the team—encouraging ownership of performance reviews, retrospectives, and process improvements.
  • Confidently manage people’s challenges, ensuring a cohesive and collaborative team atmosphere.

Client & Business Leadership

  • Build and maintain strong, long‑term client and partner relationships, fostering loyalty and repeat business.
  • Confidently communicate Addesu’s strategic vision to clients, aligning tactical execution with wider business goals.
  • Represent Addesu at industry events, leveraging your network to strengthen our positioning and create opportunities beyond sales.
  • Lead Addesu‑hosted events and contribute to cross‑functional projects with minimal input from senior stakeholders.
  • Product & Technology

  • Collaborate closely with the tech team on new feature development—from briefing through to testing.
  • Provide strategic feedback on the Addesu platform based on industry changes, client needs, and team experiences.
  • Advise on agency tech projects and contribute to implementation plans for new technologies across the wider business.
  • Leadership Contribution

  • Act as a trusted advisor within the business—known for product knowledge, industry insights, and the ability to connect ideas across teams.
  • Identify new avenues for the sales and product teams based on client and market feedback.
  • Advise senior stakeholders on Addesu brand positioning and recommend incremental improvements.
  • Ensure effective planning, resourcing, and reporting for all team projects, communicating blockers and risks upwards where necessary.
  • Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands‑on paid media experience across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and ideally TikTok Ads or other social platforms.
  • 2+ years of experience managing and developing teams.
  • Proven track record of managing a portfolio of clients and delivering performance at or above targets.
  • Strong client communication and relationship management skills, with experience leading business reviews and strategic conversations.
  • Experience working closely with tech or product teams on feature development and implementation.
  • Ability to plan, lead, and deliver cross‑functional projects with minimal oversight.
  • Established industry network and confidence representing a business externally.
  • Advanced skills in Excel / Sheets (or similar) for data analysis and media planning.
  • A proactive, reflective mindset, balancing hands‑on execution and high‑level strategic thinking.
  • Fluent English speaker (other languages a bonus).

    R45k to R51k gross per month, based on qualifications and experience.
