We are currently seeking a Front-end Software Engineer to join our team based in Cape Town. In this role, you will work closely with the product team to create technical mobile and web applications in support of engineering, manufacturing, and wellbore physics simulation.What You’ll Be Doing
Develop and deploy front-end software products for internal users across engineering and operationsTranslate application requirements into clean, responsive interfaces using modern frameworksBuild data contracts between client and server in coordination with back-end developersTroubleshoot and resolve issues across the stackMaintain version control, automate deployments, and manage code lifecycle with CI / CD pipelinesDocument your work clearly for both developers and end users (e.g., Swagger, ReadMe files)Participate in project planning and risk mitigation to ensure timely deliveryContribute to technical support, training materials, and software commercialization effortsWhat You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent software engineering experience)Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and SwiftSolid understanding of algorithms, software design principles, and UI / UX best practicesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHands-on experience working in agile development environmentsPreferred Experience
Experience with energy, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering software toolsSkills in HTML / CSS for creating clean, attractive interfacesExperience deploying applications across web and mobile platformsFamiliarity with dashboarding tools like Power BI, Vega, or other data visualization librariesKnowledge of statistics, algebra, or calculus for advanced data renderingProven ability to build and scale production-grade applications using design patterns and industry best practicesICT jobs
