Overview

As an SDR Manager, you will be focused on coaching and developing SDR reps for inbound marketing qualification to drive meetings, outbound calling to qualify, and to drive pipeline at targeted accounts. The Sales Development Manager is responsible for four main functions : driving new logo pipeline, expanding revenue from existing partners, generating playbooks and best practices for the SDRs, and career development of the team.

Our SDRs work closely with demand generation, integrated marketing, new business sales for new logos, and account managers responsible for upsell and cross-sell. The SDR Manager will oversee an entire inbound and outbound team which could grow to 10-12 people. The focus is on inbound, outbound, and dedicated projects to strategically build a pipeline for our payment acceptance platform, individual payment solutions, and revenue-generating extensions (value-add products) to our partners (ISOs, ISV – Software Companies, Regional Banks). This role requires strategic thinking in tactical execution, resource planning, goal setting, and identifying new or optimizing technologies used to build a strong sales pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Top of funnel leader that can execute on the business needs for each of our solutions, segments and personas; determine the best strategies and tactics for your SDR team to efficiently build pipeline for the sales organization.
  • Leverage data and insight to ensure that SLA’s (qualified booked meetings) and daily KPIs are hit.
  • Develop exciting programs, competitions and weekly challenges to motivate the SDRs.
  • Work side by side with SDR reps by monitoring calls and daily practices to coach them on how to handle objections, present the NMI platform / solutions, and book meetings / demos with prospects.
  • Build and publish playbooks and best practices that can be used by the team (current and future SDRs) to ensure a high-energy and efficient SDR organization that delivers on key milestones.
  • Motivate reps to learn and grow their skills daily by preparing them to manage call volume, lead follow-up, and proper communications to drive incremental meetings, higher quality prospects, more demos scheduled, effective objection handling, and proper qualification of prospects for meetings, nurturing or disqualification.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership with the ability to hire top talent for the SDR organization and help SDRs reach the next level of development and career advancement, potentially growing into other sales or marketing roles.
  • Display cross-functional collaboration and the ability to deliver both high-level and tactical feedback across marketing, sales and product to improve pipeline development.
  • Help determine the best SDR tech stack to increase the velocity and productivity of the SDRs.
  • Consistently drive the business to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Understand SDR individual and team metrics, measure results, benchmark, and set goals that achieve business targets.
  • Maintain a leadership style that fosters collaboration, trust, teamwork, healthy competition, and demonstrates the company values daily.

Requirements

  • 2+ years with progressive experience as an SDR and 3+ years progressively as a lead and manager of inbound and outbound SDR teams.
  • Strong leader who is highly motivated to build and manage a high-performance SDR organization.
  • Proficiency in SDR tech stack : Pardot, Salesforce CRM, Salesforce High Velocity (Cadences), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and other tools that impact SDR performance and sales velocity.
  • Experience in credit card payments, a partner channel and selling to SaaS organizations with multiple products and solutions.
  • Experience building an outbound program and executing a multichannel outbound strategy tracked by performance and metrics.
  • Excellent ability to manage at ground level while also defining and executing broader business initiatives.
  • Ability to hire, onboard, ramp, and train SDRs across multiple time zones.
  • Deep understanding of scaling organizations in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience in change management.
