KeyResponsibilities
- Cost Analysis : Gather and analyze financial data to determine standard costs and investigate variances between estimated and actual costs.
- Budget Management : Assist in preparing optimized budget plans and monitor expenditure to ensure adherence to financial goals.
- Reporting : Prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual costs and present findings to management for decision-making.
- Inventory Management : Monitor inventory accuracy and manage the costs associated with goods manufactured, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.
- Collaboration : Work closely with other accountants and financial staff to provide support for budgeting and financial planning initiatives.
- Compliance : Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and maintain accurate cost accounting systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Educational Background : A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is an advantage, and relevant certifications may be preferred.Experience : Prior experience in cost accounting or a similar financial role is required, with a strong understanding of cost accounting principles.Technical Skills : Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is beneficial. Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting are also important.Attention to Detail : A keen eye for detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis is crucial.Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial performance.Salary is market related
