Manage and oversee the maintenance, repair, and installation of all electrical systems and equipment onboard the cruise ship
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and safety of all electrical systems
Monitor and analyze electrical systems performance, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards for electrical systems and equipment
Train and supervise the electrical team on board, providing guidance and support as needed
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other vessel operations
Manage and maintain inventory of electrical equipment and spare parts, ensuring timely procurement and replacement when necessary
Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in electrical systems and equipment, and make recommendations for improvements and upgrades as needed
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the maritime industry
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment, including generators, switchboards, motors, and control systems
Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards, such as SOLAS, IMO, and IEC
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to work on board vessels for extended periods of time
