Possible Tasks within this Role
- Plan, book, and execute transport across all modes (air, sea, road) to ensure timely delivery and prevent production delays.
- Liaise with government agencies, service providers, and port authorities to meet export schedules and compliance requirements.
- Ensure all documentation aligns with free trade agreements and destination-specific legislation.
- Align vehicle movements with vessel schedules and port stack plans to optimize space and avoid congestion.
- Approve customs, freight, and transport invoices based on agreed rate structures.
- Maintain master data and ensure accurate system updates for shipping information.
- Compile and submit damage reports and manage claims with service providers and insurance agents.
- Monitor export data, identify trends, and present insights to management for continuous improvement.
- Track performance against KPIs and address deviations to maintain service quality.
- Update destination schedules and secure volume capacity with shipping lines.
Qualification requirements
National Diploma / Degree in Commerce / Logistics / Supply Chain Management
Experience needed
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain
