Job Title : Quality Manager Food Packaging Safety

Location : West Rand, Johannesburg

Industry : Food Packaging Manufacturing

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Manager to join our manufacturing plant in the West Rand. Our company specializes in producing high-quality food packaging materials , and we need someone to help us maintain excellent food safety standards while continuously improving our processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Safety & Quality Management

Assist in developing and maintaining food safety and quality systems that comply with ISO and food packaging regulations .

  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety requirements .
  • Process Improvement

    • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and safety.

  • Work with production teams to address and resolve quality issues.
  • Quality Control & Compliance

    • Oversee product inspections and testing to ensure food packaging safety standards are met.

  • Maintain proper records, documentation, and reports for all quality-related activities.
  • Training & Awareness

    • Train staff on food safety, hygiene practices, and quality standards .

  • Build a strong food safety culture within the team.
  • Customer Support

    • Assist in resolving customer complaints regarding food packaging quality .

  • Understand customer requirements and provide technical support where needed.

    • Qualifications & Experience

  • Education : Food safety or ISO-related training / certification is an advantage but not essential .
  • Experience : Around 23+ years in a quality-related role within food packaging or manufacturing .
  • Skills :

    • Basic knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., ISO, HACCP, GMP).

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and lead when required.
  • Familiarity with quality management software is beneficial but not mandatory .
