Afrikaans FAL Teacher : Intermediate Phase – January 2026
Dalpark Independent School is seeking a dedicated, values-driven, Afrikaans First Additional Language Educator to join our team in providing excellent CAPS- and IEB-aligned education. We are looking for an educator who can inspire learners to develop a love for Afrikaans while strengthening vital skills such as communication, critical thinking, and creativity for real-world success.

Intermediate Phase Teacher Responsibilities
Instructional Leadership
- Present effective CAPS- and IEB-aligned lessons in Afrikaans FAL.
- Apply diverse teaching strategies to promote learner success.
Assessment and Support
Design meaningful assessments to guide teaching and learning.Offer constructive feedback and targeted support for learner progress.Classroom and Behaviour Management
Create an inclusive, respectful environment with clear expectations.Foster responsibility, collaboration, and resilience among learners.Professional and Parent Communication
Maintain transparent communication with parents and staff regarding learner growth.Attend school functions, meetings, and professional development sessions.Educational Innovation
Incorporate technology, project-based learning, Christian values, and entrepreneurial themes where applicable.Intermediate Phase Teacher Requirements
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Intermediate Phase, or a relevant degree plus PGCE (or equivalent).SACE registration and valid police clearance.Strong knowledge of CAPS and IEB standards for Afrikaans FAL.Excellent planning, facilitation, and learner support skills.Willingness to be actively involved in co-curricular activities and the broader school community.#J-18808-Ljbffr
