Job description
  • EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • 4+ years of experience in IT infrastructure support or systems administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows / Linux servers, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and networking.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds) and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Familiarity with FinTech or banking compliance standards is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management. Process-driven with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-compliance environment.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, self-driven and ability to motivate a fast-paced team.
  • Worked across diverse cultures and geographies.
  • Pan Africa multi-cultural experience is advantageous.
  • IT operations SLA management
  • EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • 4-year Information Science / Information Technology / Computer Science / Engineering (or related) Degree
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification Foundation or Expert v3 / Managing Professional / Master (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator Associate (for Azure Stack)
  • Oracle Certified Professional Oracle Linux or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
  • VMware Certified Professional Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV) (if HPE uses VMware)
