What You’ll Do:
- Take accountability as the 3.1(a) appointee under the MHSA.
- Lead and manage mining operations to deliver on safety, production, and profitability.
- Oversee planning, drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and related activities.
- Ensure strict legal and regulatory compliance.
- Mentor and guide departmental heads, driving a culture of continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring:
- Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency (Metalliferous Mines) – essential.
- Blasting Certificate for Scheduled Mines – essential.
- BSc Mining Eng / Equivalent Qualification / National Higher Diploma.
- 10–15 years’ mining experience, with at least 10 in management.
- Strong background in hard rock / mechanised mining (Chrome or PGM advantageous).
- Leadership strength, problem-solving ability, and resilience in a unionised environment.
