Branch Manager

Van Schaik Bookstore requires a strategic thinker, equipped with the essential skills for high-level negotiations, to contribute to promoting the services of the company.

The incumbent, who should at all times keep abreast of the latest technology, will be responsible for :

• Expand and manage branch operations with a strong focus on effective stock control and inventory management.
• Ensure full compliance with company and supplier return policies
• Drive and optimize in store sales
• Canvass schools and TVET colleges to identify and secure new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with lecturers, customers, publishers, and suppliers
• Ordering and receiving of stationery
• Processing of new and inter-branch stock
• Ensure excellent customer service at all levels in line with company standards.
• Manage administrative processes, including customer orders, quotations, pro-formas, and enquiries
• Personnel management and development
• Excellent customer service
• Financial management
• Ensure effective product presentation and stock displays to enhance sales
• Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and profitability
