Van Schaik Bookstore requires a strategic thinker, equipped with the essential skills for high-level negotiations, to contribute to promoting the services of the company.
The incumbent, who should at all times keep abreast of the latest technology, will be responsible for :
- Expand and manage branch operations with a strong focus on effective stock control and inventory management.
- Ensure full compliance with company and supplier return policies
- Drive and optimize in store sales
- Canvass schools and TVET colleges to identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with lecturers, customers, publishers, and suppliers
- Ordering and receiving of stationery
- Processing of new and inter-branch stock
- Ensure excellent customer service at all levels in line with company standards.
- Manage administrative processes, including customer orders, quotations, pro-formas, and enquiries
- Personnel management and development

- Ensure effective product presentation and stock displays to enhance sales
- Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and profitability
