Duties & Responsibilities :

Provide expert process engineering support to operations to ensure optimal plant performance.

Assist with commissioning support, problem-solving interventions, and special projects on a short-term basis

Develop and implement process optimisation strategies that drive efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to solve complex operational challenges.

Collaborate across diverse teams to successfully develop and deploy innovative products in operational environments.

Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for both internal and client stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards in all operations activities.

Provide Project Management Support to projects and operations

Qualification Requirements :

Matric (Grade 12) or an equivalent qualification registered at NQF Level 4, including relevant NATED qualifications such as the N3 Certificate.

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical / Metallurgical Engineering (or equivalent).

Professional registration (Pr.Eng) with ECSA will be an advantage

Experience and Skills Requirements

Minimum of 8–10 years’ experience in mineral processing, plant operations, or process optimisation.

Project Management experience will be an advantage.

Proven track record in leading technical projects and driving operational improvements.

Strong knowledge of process modelling, plant troubleshooting, and metallurgical accounting.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
