A premium manufacturer of luxury off-road caravans is seeking a qualified Industrial Engineer to enhance production efficiency, quality control and operational performance. Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will play a key role in optimising manufacturing processes, implementing quality systems and driving continuous improvement across the production environment. This is a hands‑on role suited to an engineer with strong product knowledge and practical experience in fabrication and assembly.
- Analyse and improve existing production workflows and factory layouts
- Design and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quality Control systems
- Conduct time and motion studies and introduce performance metrics
- Collaborate with design and operations teams to align production capacity with build schedules
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance output quality and cost-effectiveness
- Support new product introductions through engineering input and process design
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and ISO 9001 standards
Desired Experience & Qualification
Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related fieldMinimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing or production environment (automotive, caravan, trailer or fabrication preferred)ECSA registration as a Candidate or Professional Engineer / Technologist (advantageous)Technical Skills & Competencies
Expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen or similar methodologiesExperience with process design, workflow optimisation and factory layout planningPractical knowledge of metal fabrication, assembly, electrical, plumbing and finishing processesProficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks or equivalent CAD toolsCompetence in BOM creation, ERP / MRP systems and production schedulingStrong data analysis and problem‑solving abilitiesEmployment Type : Full-Time
