Job descriptionBSc in Computer Science or related degree / Diploma Experience with planning and related solutions within a retail environment is an advantage Exposure to retail Merchandise Planning business processes. Experience working on retail planning applications (e.g JDA AKB or EKB Planning Suite / Oracle Retail MFP) Experience with Oracle PL / SQL, Unix shell scripting and Report writing is required Involvement in end-to-end SDLC (including Agile & DevOps experience) Gathering requirements from business users and translating into technical requirements Understanding and developing planning solutions in the retail environment Knowledge and experience in Excel including pivot tables, SQL, BI reporting tools - development and use of including development and integration Advanced Knowledge of planning within a retail environment (business and technical) Advanced Planning Configuration Tool Writing interface scripts and running scheduler Excellent verbal and written communication skills Analytical, conceptual, problem-solving and solution driven Strong documentation skills Proven ability to quickly learn new applications, processes, and procedures Able and willing to collaborate in a team environment (within business and IT) and exercise independent judgment Excellent understanding of business complexity, business processes (and implementing) and project interdependencies Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills Collaborates - effectively works with others to achieve shared goals Communicates Effectively - conveys information and communicates ideas in a clear, concise and impactful manner Cultivates Innovation - creates an environment that fosters and nurtures a culture of creativity which drives success Decision Quality - consistently makes timely, well-rounded and informed decisions Ensures Accountability - takes accountability and ensures others are held to account on agreed upon performance targets Manages Complexity - interprets and simplifies complex and contradictory information when resolving organisational problems Tech Savvy - leverages new technology to enhance productivity, improve problem solving, and support business growth
JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide overall system support and development of the Planning Product / Services
- Collaborate with the business to understand the business requirements and translate them into business and technology requirements that can be fulfilled by internal solutions
- Provide business and system process guidance for building out and evolving the Planning Product / Service
- Identify integration requirements between systems to achieve business needs
- Development / Maintenance and implementation of new products / systems based on business and technical requirements identified
- Conduct testing with users to ensure that the product meets the needs identified
- Conduct train the trainer and business demonstrations for senior users (managers and executives) if and when required
- Correspondence with the business and users surrounding implementation / rollout
- Collect, process and report on data for the business
- Advise the business on new enhancements to existing products
- In depth knowledge of planning and the solutions within a retail environment to be able to carry out these tasks and further assist with support
- Ensuring the company security policy is implemented and maintained throughout the planning systems
