Financial Manager

Job descriptionProvide leadership and direction to the finance team to ensure objectives are met. Supervise all aspects of the creditors and debtors cycle, including the administration of credit insurance. Oversee treasury operations, managing tasks such as cashflow, foreign exchange exposure, and hedging strategies. Arrange and manage the divisions financing facilities. Handle the preparation and submission of SARB applications and oversee compliance monitoring. Authorise the onboarding process for new customers and suppliers. Participate in the preparation, tracking, and reporting of budgets. Review and revise standard costing on a monthly basis, including analysis of cost variances. Compile profitability reports, including analysis by commodity where necessary. Support the preparation of financial statements as needed. Detect and address potential financial risks. Ensure that export and import documentation and reporting adhere to all regulations. Supervise all accounting activities within the division. Ensure the accurate accounting and documentation of hedging activity in accordance with applicable standards. Coordinate hedge transactions and deliver timely, precise reports on hedge positions and their performance. Consolidate financial data for various legal entities and business units. Reconcile and eliminate intercompany balances and transactions. Keep thorough records and documentation for consolidated financial accounts. Facilitate external audit processes and address audit-related queries. Promote continuous improvement of financial systems, controls, and procedures. Provide assistance in establishing financial processes for new initiatives. Undertake additional financial management tasks as needed. In the meantime, please download our
Minimum Requirements :
- Relevant Finance / Accounting Degree + SAICA Articles
- Valid driver's license
- 5 Years relevant experience
- Hedge accounting experience
- Understanding cost accounting principles
- Financial reporting and Forex handling experience
- Advanced Excel
- Proficiency in Dynamics 365 Business Central
