Job Description

As a Tax Administrator you’ll be supporting the delivery of ensuring that the company meets its tax compliance obligations across multiple jurisdictions. This includes assisting with the preparation of tax calculations and tax returns, assisting with tax audits, and ensuring compliance with changing tax laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in quarterly calculation of direct taxes.
  • Work closely with the Tax Compliance Specialists to ensure that all applicable taxes are accurately calculated and reported timeously.
  • Assist the Tax Compliance Specialists with the calculation of indirect taxes related to the gaming and operational activities of the company.
  • Assist the Tax Compliance Specialists to ensure that all indirect tax calculations are accurate and compliant with local laws and regulations.

Tax Compliance and Calculations

  • Submit and file periodic indirect, gaming and operational tax returns for all relevant entities.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations for each jurisdiction and ensure submissions are done on a weekly and / or monthly basis.
  • Maintain tax profiles for all relevant entities on revenue authority portals.
  • Compliance Tax Calendar

  • Assist with managing and updating the tax compliance calendar for all periodic tax filings.
  • Assist with ensuring that all deadlines for tax returns and payments are met in a timely manner.
  • Tax Legislation Anomalies

  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and investigate any anomalies that may arise.
  • Stay up to date with relevant tax laws, regulations, and potential changes in the tax landscape that could affect the business.
  • Requirements

  • Certificate or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Tax or related field
  • 1-3 years accounting and tax experience in a similar role
  • Experience in tax accounting / calculations, tax compliance and tax administrative management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively
